# Remove a competitor price

> Delete a wrong or irrelevant competitor price from the Price Comparison popover so it stops feeding the price range, market-data metrics, and optimization.

Sometimes a competitor price in your grid is simply wrong for the decision: a mismatched product, a clearance or bundle price, or a market you don't compete in. Left in, it still sets the min or max of the **Price Range** and still feeds the optimizer, so the recommendation is skewed and the range reads as noise. You can remove such a price directly from the grid so it stops counting.

## Remove a price from the Price Comparison popover

Open the **Price Comparison** popover from a product's **Price Range** cell. It lists the competitor prices behind that range, each with the competitor, the price, and when it was observed. Use the delete (trash) icon next to a price to remove it.

Retailgrid asks you to confirm first, because the removal is permanent.

## What removal does

Deleting removes **every price collected for that competitor on that product**. Once removed:

* the price no longer feeds the Price Range min / max / median, the market-data metrics, or optimization for that product, and
* it is gone everywhere that competitor's price appeared for the product — every grid, dashboard, and presentation.

<Warning>
  Removal is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no restore.
</Warning>

## It comes back if monitoring still tracks it

Removing a price deletes what has already been collected; it does not stop future collection. If [Price Monitoring](/agents/price-monitoring) is still configured to track that competitor for the product, its next run collects the competitor again.

So deleting is the right move for a one-off bad observation you want out of today's numbers. When a competitor is *consistently* mismatched or irrelevant for a product, fix it at the source instead, so the bad price doesn't return — correct the match, or stop tracking that competitor for that product. See [Competitor matching](/price-monitoring/competitor-matching) to check a match, and [Assign competitors to stores, zones, and channels](/stores/assign-competitors) to change what is tracked.
