# Review and approve prices

> Read the proposed prices in the grid, check why each one was proposed, approve what you want and publish.

Proposals land in the **Price Approval** columns of the same grid. This is where you decide what goes live.

## Open the queue

Scroll right in the grid to the **Price Approval** column group, or click a status chip on the **Grids** page to open the grid already filtered to it. The group header carries:

* a status selector, set to **To Review** for the proposals still waiting on you;
* **Impact**, a run-level summary of how the batch splits between price rises, cuts and no change, with its forecasted effect over 7, 30, 90 or 180 days;
* **Publish Prices**, carrying the count of approvals staged so far.

Each row gives you the **Proposed Price** and the context for judging it: **Price Change %**, **New Unit Margin %**, **Elasticity Tier** and **Elasticity**, plus the forecasted sales impact columns. Every column is defined in [Price Optimization](https://docs.retailgrid.io/agents/price-optimization.md).

## See why a price was proposed

Click the info icon in a **Proposed Price** cell to open **Price Analysis**. It shows the current price, the regular price, the cost, the feasible range the price had to stay inside, how many rules applied, and what the change does to margin.

A proposal sitting exactly at the edge of its feasible range is usually a rule holding it back rather than the model being cautious.

## Approve, reject or override

The **Actions** column at the end of each row has two controls:

* the green check approves the proposed price;
* the red cross rejects it and leaves the live price alone.

To override, edit the **Proposed Price** cell, enter your own number and approve that. An override is your price, not the agent's, so check it against your margin floor first.

Work in passes rather than row by row. Filter on **Price Change %** to take the biggest moves first, or on **Confidence** to separate strong recommendations from thin ones, then approve the filtered set together. More patterns in [Review and approve price changes](https://docs.retailgrid.io/agents/price-approval.md).

> [!WARNING]
>
> Approving a row only stages it. Nothing reaches your live prices until you publish.

## Publish

Click **Publish Prices**. The count on the button is what goes out. Published prices become the live prices on those products, metrics recalculate against them, and they flow into [exports](https://docs.retailgrid.io/grids/export.md) and the Public API. Rejected and unreviewed proposals stay as they are.

That is one full cycle: data, optimization, approval, live prices.
